Bio
La Musica is a Dominican queer artist based in Brazil, creating a powerful fusion of Caribbean dembow, Brazilian funk and electronic club music. Rooted in rhythm and movement, their work transforms the dancefloor into a space of collective liberation — where bodies, identities and expressions are free to exist without constraint.

With a background in fashion and design, as well as studies in contemporary fine art, their work extends beyond sound into the creation of immersive artistic worlds — where visual identity, performance and music converge into a singular universe.

Drawing on a life lived across the Caribbean, Europe and Latin America, La Musica brings a diasporic perspective to their sound and artistic vision. Their music channels the pulse of the club as a site of connection, resistance and joy, blending percussive intensity with ecstatic energy and a commanding stage presence.

At the core of the project is a deliberate subversion of traditional power structures on the dancefloor. With a masculine physical presence and a vibrant feminine expression, La Musica occupies and reclaims space - through embodiment, pleasure and freedom.

More than a performance, their work creates a shared experience: a moment where the audience is invited to move, release and step into a fuller version of themselves. In this space, liberation becomes contagious, and the dancefloor transforms into a collective celebration of power, identity and radical self-expression.
